本課程主要在於建立生物資訊學之基本觀念,內容包含基因體學、蛋白質體學、資訊科學、資料庫、及大型高通量數據分析, 如生物晶片、全基因組關聯分析、及次世代定序原理與數據分析等基本知識。理論與實際應用並重,不論是基礎生物背景, 或電腦資訊背景的學生都能具備基礎的分析能力, 同時領略進展快速的生物科技帶來的意義。
This course is designed to establish the fundamental concepts of bioinformatics. The content covers genomics, proteomics, computer science, databases, and large-scale high-throughput data analysis, including basic knowledge of microarrays, genome-wide association studies (GWAS), and next-generation sequencing (NGS) principles and data analysis. Emphasis is placed equally on theory and practical applications. Students with either a biological or computational background will gain essential analytical skills while also appreciating the significance of the rapidly advancing field of biotechnology.
