I am a Medical Doctor and
Public Health professional from Tanzania, currently working with the Tanzania
Ministry of Health in the Emergency Preparedness and Rapid Response Unit.
I have more than 15 years of experience in epidemic preparedness, outbreak
response, disease surveillance, and health system strengthening. I have been
involved in responding to highly infectious disease emergencies, including
Marburg Virus Disease, COVID-19, Ebola Virus Disease, Cholera, Measles, Polio,
and Mpox, working with national and international partners.
I am currently pursuing my
PhD in the International Graduate Ph.D. Program in Medicine (IGPM) at
Taipei Medical University (TMU). My academic and research interests
include global health security, pandemic preparedness, emerging and re-emerging
infectious diseases, health system resilience, disease surveillance, and the
application of digital health and artificial intelligence to epidemic
preparedness and response.
Through my studies at TMU, I hope to strengthen
my research skills, develop innovative approaches to global health challenges,
and contribute to improving health-system preparedness and resilience,
particularly in Tanzania and other resource constrained settings.
